The club committees are organized consistent with Rotary's traditional four avenues of service, namely:

1. Club Service - these activities include membership development, fellowship, communication, fundraising, publicity, facility management, legal affairs and accounting.

2.  Community Service - these activies vary from club to club depending on the local needs and the individual club resources. In our club, they have included projects in support of educational, historical, recreational, public safety and humanitarian needs improving the quality of life for our community citizens. A list of typical projects is provided in the Club Service Committee pages.

3. International Service - Rotary Clubs throughout the world help address needs in other communities and countries by supporting the activities of the Rotary International Foundation, their District projects and directly or in conjunction with other clubs.

The Rotary Internation Foundation's flagship project for the past 25 years has been the eradication of Polio (and we're nearly there!). Other projects have addressed the need for:

  • Health Care and Medical Supplies
  • Clean Water
  • Job Training
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Student Exchange Programs
  • Graduate level fellowships and scholarships in foreign countries
  • Literacy

Our club individually and in conjunction with other clubs has provided international club service via:

  • Funding of Shelter Boxes shipped to disaster areas
  • Funding of medical equipment and emergency vehicles in India and South America
  • Support of the Cold War Museum and international historians
  • Water projects in Africa
  • Support of Heart Surgery Clinics in Ecuador

4. Vocational Service - Defined as service through what we are "called" to do and providing assistance to others in discovering and succeeding in their calling.

The activities in this avenue of service in our club have included:

  • Presentations about our individual occupations to both our peers and students
  • Providing scholarships for both academic and trade studies
  • Supporting literacy programs
  • Advocating for high ethical standards in all of our business dealings
  • Contributing our professional expertise and skills as lecturers, mentors and advisors
  • Touring fellow member work places
  • Supporting Rotary Youth Leadership training awards
  • Supporting Group Study Exchanges
